Supporting your dyslexic students
Every student can succeed!
Sometimes it just takes a little support.
.
Dyslexia makes life difficult for many students, But it doesn’t have to define thier lives. Every student with dyslexia has strengths and skills. every student is capable of learning to read.
Research has shown that students with dyslexia can learn to read when they are taught using every path of learning : visual, auditory, and hands on. I am a Dyslexic interventionist working on getting my certification to be a Dyslexia Therapist. I use an IMSLEC accredited program to tutor your dyslexic student following decades of research. With consistent support your students can overcome their reading challenges and succeed in school.
How it
works
Each hour-long session, I will help your student to build their alphabet, phonics, reading, spelling, handwriting, vocabulary, grammar, and reading comprehension skills. We will use a research based program called Alphabetic Phonics, supplemented by the Take Flight curriculum by Scottish Rite to guide our time together. Every session will be customized to support your student.
Tutoring Services
Basic: 2 times a week
If your student is already receiving effective support at school and just needs a little extra help, meeting twice a week may be enough. This option is $50 a week.
Intermediate: 3 - 4times a week.
This is my recommend option for most students. Students who are below grade level and struggling to learn how to read benefit from doing the curriculum 3 to 4 times a week. This option is $60 for 3 x a week or $80 for 4 times a week.
Advanced: 5 times a week
If your student is not receiving dyslexia services from a school or is really struggling, I would recommend this option for you. This intensive tutoring will help your student make gains through the year and truly support their needs. This option costs $100 a week.
